A Queen bed (65" × 87") fits most BC bedrooms comfortably, leaving adequate clearance on both sides. A King bed (81" × 87") requires a minimum room width of approximately 12 feet to allow 24 inches of walking space on each side. Acacia Wood features a tighter grain and warm golden-brown tones. It is extremely hard (Janka rating ~1750 lbf), making it resistant to dents and scratches - a practical choice for busy households. Mango Wood has wider, more varied grain patterns with brown streaks that make each piece visually unique. A lifting mechanism bed (also called a gas-lift bed) has a hinged mattress base supported by gas pistons.
